6th Annual Invitation Softball Tournament
Tournament Info
- Tournament will be held September 13 - 14, 2008 at the Twin Creeks Softball Complex in Sunnyvale, California. This complex has lighted fenced fields to accommodate all divisions of play for our tournament.
- Divisions of play: Men’s Open, Men’s Novice, Women's, Men's 45 & Over
- An entry fee of $300.00 for all teams must accompany their roster and be turned in by July 15, 2008. Deadline for additions and deletions to their roster is August 1, 2008. All missing and final paperwork is due by this date.
- ASA team registration is required. All teams must send proof of ASA registration, or remit a check of $25.00 to San Francisco ASA for registration along with your entry fee and paperwork.
- Tournament will be restricted to Asians/Pacific Islanders only. A copy of a non-returnable birth certificate for all new players (that did not play last year) must accompany your roster and entry fee. This restriction will be strictly enforced.
- Every playing participant will be required to present their Driver’s License @ the Tournament check in desk prior to their first game.
- ASA championship rules will apply. An ASA Umpire-in-Chief will be on site to rule on protest(s) of rule interpretations.
- Bats used will be according to the ASA Bat List.
- All managers/coaches are responsible for their players and fans. There will be ZERO tolerance for unsportsmanlike conduct from players, managers, coaches and their fans.
- If a team is caught with an illegal player(s) on their roster, the following penalties will apply:
- The team will forfeit all remaining games in the tournament.
- The team will be banned (the entire roster) from participation in the following Asian Pacific Island Pride Tournament. In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g. rain), the penalty shall be carried over to the following year(s).
In the event of a rainout, refund will be determined after non-recoverable expenses are paid.
